On September 10, China Media Group (CMG) hosted a CCTV Finance event during the 2026 Inclusion Conference on the Bund in Shanghai.
Four KEENON XMAN-L1 humanoid robots opened the event alongside dancers with Cyber Stage, a performance blending advanced technology with traditional Chinese aesthetics. Li Tong, Founder and CEO of KEENON Robotics, also participated in the opening ceremony and a high-level dialogue on technology and finance.
Robotics, AI Music, and Intelligent Computing
The performance brought together three China-developed technologies: KEENON’s humanoid robots, an AI music generation model, and an intelligent computing platform.
The music was created by the Key Laboratory for AI Music Therapy at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music using the “Yinchao” AI music generation model and its Chinese traditional music dataset. The production was supported by BIRENTECH’s Bili™ 166L computing platform.
With fluid movement and coordinated choreography, XMAN-L1 demonstrated its motion control and multi-robot synchronization capabilities. Beyond performances, the compact humanoid robot can support interactive applications in brand activations, shopping centers, restaurants, and other commercial environments.
Advancing Embodied Intelligence Responsibly
During the high-level dialogue, Li joined experts from academia, technology, and investment to discuss data, commercialization, and responsible innovation in embodied intelligence.
Li emphasized that technological development and commercialization must advance together.
“Embodied intelligence requires patient capital,” Li said. “Companies must also connect technology with real commercial applications and generate sustainable returns.”
He also highlighted the growing importance of safety and compliance as robot deployments scale. KEENON maintains regionally deployed data infrastructure and works to meet applicable security and regulatory requirements across its global markets.
Looking ahead, Li said the industry should avoid both overestimating and underestimating AI while remaining focused on practical and responsible innovation.
From a televised performance in Shanghai to real-world service roles, KEENON is advancing its “general-purpose + specialized” strategy to move robots beyond demonstrations and into practical applications.
