Leading Global Market Share: Keenon Robotics COO Speaks in Seoul on How Chinese Service Robots Are Winning Overseas

Recently, the inaugural Northeast Asia Forum 2026, hosted by CITIC CLSA, was held in Seoul, South Korea. As a brand-new segment of CITIC CLSA's annual conference, this forum brought together more than 150 institutional investors and over 80 leading enterprises from South Korea, China, Japan, and other regions. Wan Bin, COO of Keenon Robotics, was invited to attend and deliver a keynote speech. Centering on the industrialization exploration and practice of embodied intelligent robots, he systematically shared Keenon's technological accumulation, commercialization experience, and overseas strategy, with the industrialization path of humanoid robots becoming one of the focal points of attention at the event.

Wan Bin pointed out that service robots are the core segment for future growth in the robotics sector, with their volume share expected to exceed 50% by 2030 and an annual growth rate of 24%, offering greater development potential than industrial robots. The core driving force lies in the demand for robot substitution arising from the labor-intensive characteristics of the service industry.

At the same time, service robots also face three unique challenges: high scenario heterogeneity, high safety requirements for human-robot mixed environments, and the need to autonomously complete the service loop—and this is precisely where the opportunity lies for China's robotics industry. Wan Bin believes that China possesses three core advantages: a high degree of supply chain richness, an ample engineer dividend, and rich domestic innovation scenarios that allow the accumulation of large amounts of real data. The combination of these three forms an extremely strong product competitiveness.

To date, Keenon's cumulative global shipments have exceeded 100,000 units, covering multiple robot categories including humanoid, delivery, and cleaning robots. Its products have been deployed in more than 70 countries worldwide, with overseas business accounting for over 50%. According to an IDC report, Keenon ranks first in the industry with a 22.7% share of global shipments.

Based on these practices, Wan Bin summarized Keenon's overseas strategy into three "hard-earned lessons": exporting mature products that have been validated in a large number of scenarios in the Chinese market; adhering to localized operations and building business together with local partners; and establishing a full-chain operational system covering compliance certification, warehousing and logistics, and local agencies. Taking the South Korean market as an example, Keenon has partnered with Korea Telecom, Hyundai Robotics, and others, with products deployed in local hotels, golf courses, supermarkets, restaurants, and many other scenarios.

In addition, Keenon's embodied intelligence layout has also formed a clear roadmap—"general-purpose + specialized" collaboration, centered on job-based positioning. Currently, Keenon has multiple humanoid robots covering service needs in different scenarios: the bipedal humanoid XMAN-F1 features biomimetic movement and dynamic balance capabilities, adapting to complex terrain such as stairs and slopes; the wheeled humanoid XMAN-R1 focuses on efficient service operations and has already been deployed in real scenarios such as hotels and coffee kiosks; and the small humanoid XMAN-L1 focuses on lightweight performance and interactive services, providing emotional value and customer attraction capabilities for commercial scenarios.

In deployment practice, Keenon breaks down complex scenarios such as hotels and restaurants into standardized positions including greeting, delivery, and cleaning, enabling robots to first get up and running in specific roles. At Shangri-La Traders Hotel, XMAN-R1 has officially taken on the role of greeter, working collaboratively with specialized robots for delivery and cleaning, becoming the world's first implementation case of "general-purpose + specialized" robot collaboration; at NOWWA Coffee, it independently completes the entire coffee-making process in the capacity of a "specially appointed barista"; and XMAN-L1 has collaborated with a trendy motorcycle brand and undertaken interactive performance tasks in joint events, validating the commercial value of humanoid robots in pan-service scenarios. Humanoid robots are step by step entering real service scenarios, validating the feasibility of "general-purpose + specialized" collaboration and job-based deployment.

From validation in the Chinese market to deployment in 70 countries worldwide, from defining the world's first commercial delivery category to implementing collaborative operations between humanoid and specialized robots, Keenon Robotics is leading embodied service robots into a new stage of deep industrialization with a solid technological loop and commercial loop. Wan Bin stated that Keenon will continue to deepen its global localized operations, promoting embodied intelligence to empower all industries with reusable job-based robot solutions, and truly becoming the core engine for the intelligent upgrade of the global service industry.
